Photographic study on the contemporary territories evolutions and the industrial heritage conversion along the Arras - Antwerpen line. Conducted between 2014 and 2015 thanks to the support of the Crédit du Nord bank, NORTH focuses as much on the mining area as the cross-border metropolis, as much on the urban expansion as the industrial heritage conversion. As part of the continuity of BORDERS project on the separation lines between urban and rural, NORTH follows the transformations of outlying places : from major building projects to commercial areas, from gentrification to industrial rehabilitation, the corpus aims to transcribe the evolution of Nord-Pas-de-Calais's landscapes and identity.
